Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct: We are very aware of social responsibility when choosing our suppliers, why we have some specific requirements in our code of conduct for our suppliers regarding working conditions, child labor etc. an agreement all of our suppliers must sign before we can start working together. We do not accept child labour! This is one of the most important points in our Code of Conduct. Children should be allowed to be children and enjoy carefree days.

Code of Conduct

We care about the people

Doing right by people and the planet is more relevant than ever. We work with people all around the world and ensure safe, fair and healthy working conditions for each one of them. We believe in investing in our communities.

Our suppliers

We are always looking to work with suppliers that are forerunners when talking sustainability - and so many suppliers are also making this one of their core development points.

Gender equality

We believe in gender equality and work with both men and women all over the world. We have a desire to be a caring and including company and we ensure everyone feels included, valued and heard also at our home office in Nibe. Everybody has their own personality, values, and heritages that we welcome with open arms.

GOAL 5

Gender equality is a fundamental human right, and is essential to achieve peaceful societies, with full human potential and sustainable development. It has been shown that empowering women spurs productivity and economic growth.

At Lene Bjerre, everyone is equal. Furthermore, we support and work with women from Myanmar. In Myanmar, a long tradition has been that women should take care of the home and the children when she becomes a mother. The husband will therefore be the only source of income for the family. The work with weaving interior gives the women an opportunity for an extra source of income. We have chosen supplier that makes sure each woman gets the best possible working conditions when they work from home. They get access to the best materials, training and tools. It turns them into skilled artisans.

GOAL 8

Decent work and economic growth promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

At Lene Bjerre, we want to create decent and fulfilling jobs while not harming the environment. We must protect labour rights and we believe in putting a stop to modern slavery and child labour. We support local economic growth by choosing local suppliers and ensure safe and secure working environments for all.
